Film Industry

Malta through the Malta Film Commission (MFC) is developing the local film industry. The Commission advises on new structures and regulations with an aim to facilitate the work of foreign film productions prior to and during the shoot in Malta. It has established a framework of co-operation with various government entities and authorities which may effect productions thus creating a film-friendly environment whereby providing efficient procedures thus allowing faster and easier filming processes.

MSS International Services Ltd. (MSS) has been involved with the film industry for a number of years assisting foreign film productions with the registration of their companies with VAT authorities and supporting companies in all requirements concerning VAT. Once the production is complete MSS applies for VAT refund on behalf of the production company and on obtaining this refund sees to the transferring of funds as instructed by that particular company.

Apart from aiding foreign film productions with their VAT requirements MSS also provides payroll services to those companies who wish to make use of this service
